Museu de les Arts Decoratives is a collection of furniture and decorative objects from the Middle Ages to the present day. Barcelona is in the Palau Reial de Pedralbes, Royal Palace of Pedrables along with the Ceramics museum. The Palau Reial de Pedrables is the royal palace built for King Alfonso XIII in 1929. The location is at the top and posh end of the Avenida Diagonal near the Zona Universitaria. The three-story Italian inspired building was opened by the the Spanish King and Queen in 1924. The ground floor throne-room and large salons are now used for public functions. and the first and second floors house the "Museu de Cerémica" and "Museu de les Arts Decoratives."
